Project Overview
Jordan Michaels from Vivio Technologies has put together the OpenBD Installer in the hopes of making the deployment of OpenBD a very simple process. The Installer creates a stand-alone instance of OpenBD, Tomcat, and Sun's JRE 1.6 specifically for use with OpenBD. It also makes installing the web server connector a snap.
If you've ever installed ColdFusion 7, ColdFusion 8, or BlueDragon Server JX in a Linux environment, then using the OpenBD Installer should be very familiar to you. The OpenBD Installer was designed to function very similar to how those installers functioned, and provide an functioning server that is similar to manage. All sites which contain CFM templates are processed by a single instance of OpenBD and Tomcat – just like you would find with standard installations of ColdFusion 7/8 and BlueDragon Server JX. The hope is that the installer would lower the learning curve required to utilize OpenBD for both existing CFML developers, and new CFML developers.

Known Issues:
- There are no known issues with the 1.3.0 pl0 release.
